Some pictures from recent events

The following are some pictures of the weekend of my 20th reunion, it was quite fun.

Some highlights include; How to catch a blue heron, why the whole world is under construction, my Fathers continuing lecture series, Dangerous Uncle Tom, and Ikea

Catching a blue heron the classic way - Well this is an old standard that trappers have used for years you simply set out a nice big steel jawed trap over some tasty fish and when it dives down, SNAP!, then you just go for the wiggly bits.

The New way is a little more effort, but is currently the most popular. You sit in your boat for 3 hours playing the violin to attract the blue heron then when it shows up, you offer it a seasame bun (the blue herons favorite food when fish are unavailable, and great with sushi) Then if does not sing the correct song you withhold the antidote. Of course only a blue heron would be stupid enough to accept a pioisoned seasame bun. Search the web for some great blue heron recipies, my favorite, Heron Kiev!

As you know, the whole world is under construction. Its not like the old days where shit stayed built, but today people rip up and put down the same road over and over. Homes are built where farms used to be so people can live in them and pine for the simpler days on the farm. Remodeling your house will help those winsome verclempts. Thus in fashon of those great times in the depression of the Civilian Conservation Corps we have a semi revival with the formation of the RRR camps. Thats right! Roads, Roads and of course, ROADS. Millions of people will be employed constructing new roads where those pesky and familiar roads of yore were just taking up space.

My Father's continuing lecture series is based on Religeon, politics and love. It morphs slightly as time marches on, but he does his best to convince.

My Uncle Tom leads a dangerous life, he hangs out on a lot of cliffs to catch pictures of sunsets, which I informed him we did not have in Wisconsin. He has 4 grown girls and a scad of grandkids. I have no pictures of him, but he whipped out his laptop(dangerous) and gave me a quick slideshow of 2200 pictures. Many were dangerous, which I pointed out to him, he questioned my fortitude, also dangerous. Only 2200 pictures, time to upgrade that laptop, you can store the old one at my house Tom.

Chuck and I went to Ikea in Canton, Chuck actually went twice since his parents live practically in the parking lot. It was quite the pastoral scene when they first moved in there, but thats what happens when the world is under construction.
